You don't need a yearly membership so if you go to a gym already and just want to drop in from time to time you can. The Zumba class with Angelia Alfaro left a lot to be desired. Her iPod was dead at the beginning of class and so it started about 10 minutes late. Most of the songs felt really slow barely broke a sweatthe moves overall felt disassociated from the music and she would stop doing the moves during class to basically test if we knew what was supposed to come next. She saw a fair amount of women struggling with the moves including myself but still chose to do this. There was maybe 2 songs that felt good but everything else was meh. I also didn't like how she incorporated non-dance moves into the choreography which really took me out of the mood of being excited to dance with no judgment. I love Zumba so would be willing to come back to try it with a different instructor, but wouldn't come back for her particular class. The instructors here are more professional than other studios and gyms I've been to and it's worth every penny. My favorites are Volha and Mike, interesting choreographies, great music and you burn a lot. I love Edmee's Aqua Zumba class. She has kept me up to date with new music and she is always energized. I have tried the regular Zumba classes and like those as well. Actually, these have been the best Zumba classes I have taken. I have tried one at one z club nz those expensive gyms and the instructor was horrible and the music was boring. I could have taught a better class. They have the best instructors in the city. I started off with the one-week unlimited pass and I am now a very loyal customer. They have a lot of classes at various times of the day and I love that they offer classes late in the evening. I work pretty late and this is the only club that has Zumba classes at hours that suit my schedule. All of the instructors are good but my personal favorites are Diego, Volha and Irena. Diego and Volha's classes are a lot of fun, they're both super cheerful. Irena is a Zumba Education Specialist and she means business. Great choreography and a high energy workout. I've heard that Edmee's Aqua Zumba is gooood. I haven't tried it yet but I've seen the class splashing around in the water having a great time. Can't wait to try it sometime. Oh, they also organize master classes and other fun events. There was a week long Zumba retreat in Guadalupe in April - sounded awesome but unfortunately, I couldn't make it. From the pictures on their Instagram account, it looked like the people who made it had an amazing time there. I highly recommend this club for people looking for some real Zumba. This is literally the most fun I've ever had exercising. The pace is fast, but folks who move a little slower still enjoy the fun, and the dance moves are exciting. I find myself giggling while my heart is beating out of control. Edmee had improved the quality of my life. The location is beautiful, and pool is beautiful. Z club nz instructor danced beautifully and the music was good, but unfortunately she was very difficult to follow and the verbal and physical cues were lacking. I expected layered choreography introducing one move at a time, then gradually adding on but all we got was straight-up choreography that might have been appropriate for someone who has had dance training but not for any old exerciser. I looked around and saw many confused faces so I knew I wasn't alone. Maybe I would try a different instructor next time. I purchased a First Time Unlimited 1 Week and only used the E 57th Studio. If you love zumba you will love all the instructors. The steps are not super simple yet easy enough for someone with some dance background or zumba experience to follow. I left each class drenched but in great spirits. Check in is easy and the E 57 facility is really nice, this includes the locker rooms. I am going to terminate my current membership with Equinox and sign up for the One Month Unlimited going forward. I go to the classes at 57th and always enjoy my time there. I prefer some teachers z club nz others, but they are all fantastic. Major cardio and you have fun doing it. I have 2 left feet and I can get through the class feeling somewhat confident that I did 90% of the moves correctly : The teachers get involved, motivate you and make sure you are having fun. I wish they offered early classes or a 6:30pm every night, so that I could go more often. Edmee is such a great business owner. She is attentive, accommodating and truly values her customers. Highly recommend and everyone should try it. I've taken all my classes with Edmee and I couldn't be happier. She always has a big smile on her face during classwhich helps z club nz much when you are struggling to keep up. He music selection and choreography are on point. She's makes your day with her spirit while you break a sweat. Highly recommend her as your Zumba instructor. The instructors- they are always on, there energy is the best and they want you to have an amazing time while getting in shape. I cannot believe this is happening in New York. I tried to reach costumer support for like couple month now. I bought a deal on Groupon and tried to reach them to make a reservation for a class as it was told in the deal. They closed the location eventualy that was in the deal and I emailed and called, but nobody ever replied. How is that they do not care at all. I took classes before and the instructors were great. Z club nz Ansari is the most energetic, Mary Onyango is a fantastic dancer and Irene Meletiou is just the best choreographer I ever seen.
